Thank you for taking time to get to know who we are. We are a business that is in love with our customers and want you to know all about us!!!

Sax Restaurant & Lounge, affectionately known as Sax on 6th, first opened, May 21st, 2009, after numerous delays. What began as an Italian/American themed menu, and simple Jazz Lounge, has evolved into so much more.

Today, Sax boasts one of the best dinner menus in the area, with a very traditional, yet upscale, Italian theme. We do offer a more modern Bar menu in our Lounge, from 2pm-7pm, and after 10pm, daily.

Sax has kept some of it's Jazz oriented origins, most notably in the form of our Tuesday Night Jazz Jam, run by local Musician, Kareem Kandi. Fun night, well worth checking out.

We also offer live music through dinner on Friday & Saturday, in the form of the Early Sets, with talented pianist, Kacey Evans. And, beginning in January of 2010, every Wednesday night, Sax is joined by the talented guitar singer/songwriter, Olivia De La Cruz, from 7pm-9pm, through the 3rd of Febuary. And beginning on the 3rd of Febuary, Sax Unplugged, from 9pm-12am or later, featuring some of Tacoma's hottest acoustic talents.

Sax has evolved, capturing the element that makes 6th Ave's nightlife into what it is, bringing DJ's into our mix as well. Friday and Saturday nights, we spin out the most popular party music from recent years. Sundays evenings, beginning in January of 2010, Sax is proud to offer it's SIN (Service Industry Night), with food and drink specials, and DJ Midnight Mike Spinning from 930pm-close.
